Care Designed Around You

Hummingbird Behavioral Health supports evidence-based treatment methods developed in the principles and procedures of Applied Behavior Analysis including but not limited to Verbal Behavior strategies, Natural Environment Training (NET), Fluency Based Instruction, and Direct Instruction. Each client's plan is individualized to meet their needs. Hummingbird Behavioral Health first verifies that each client meets eligibility requirements and appropriateness for receiving ABA services. Treatment and planning are completed during initial assessments including but not limited to Functional Behavior Assessments, Preference Assessments, VB-MAPP, AFLS, ABLLS in order to guide instruction and develop the most effective treatment plan possible for the individual. Skill areas contain specific curriculum designed to increase each person’s highest quality of life. Individual Treatment Plan goals will be established with the collaboration of parents, care givers, case management, the home, school district, and/or other professionals that form the multidisciplinary team.

Meet The Team

Teralynn Vallery, BCBA

Owner and Founder of Hummingbird Behavioral Health

Tera received her Master of Science in Psychology with a concentration in Applied Behavioral Analysis from Kaplan University in 2015 and is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst. Over the last seven years Tera has worked with various communities and provided individual and group therapy to clients with diverse backgrounds. She has extensive experience providing treatment to children, adolescents, and adults who experience substance abuse disorders, anxiety, depression, Autism, ADHD, and intellectual/developmental disabilities. In her first year of college Tera found her passion for psychology and made the decision to commit her professional career to aiding others in living their highest quality of life possible. She strives to treat each individual with the upmost respect and dignity while creating individualized treatment plans.

Tera and her family moved to the Four Corners area of Colorado in 2000 and the enjoy the diverse terrain the area has to offer. Family is an important element in Tera’s daily life. She enjoys snowboarding and crafting with her 15-year-old daughter and reading with her toddler. During the hot summers Tera and her family spend as much time as possible at the lake, enjoying nature and family time.
